NICOM® Sensors
- 100% Non Invasive
- Flexible sensor location
- Applied by Nurse, Physician or Technician
A key advantage of Cheetah NICOM’s sensors is that there's a great flexibility in sensor location. NICOM sensors can be placed anywhere on the thorax in front or on the back as required by the patient’s position, clinical condition and procedure.
Cheetah NICOM sensors are comprised of a double-electrode configuration which carries out two roles simultaneously. The first role is to deliver the continuous low-voltage alternating electrical current supplied by the NICOM monitor. The second role is to sample at a very fast rate the signal emanating from the patient- the Bioreactance signal. These signals are then analyzed by the NICOM which determines the stroke volume (SV), heart rate, cardiac output (CO), stroke volume variation (SVV) and other hemodynamic information provided by NICOM.
The NICOM sensors are FDA cleared and CE marked, indicated for use in conjunction with the NICOM signal processing product line.
